The Peoria, Decatur & Evansville Railway
| Name: | Myers or Meyers, Indiana(elevation 437') |
| Mile Post: | 241.0 |
| Previous Station: | Wilcox |
| Next Station: | Effinger |
| Description: | On May 25th, 1880, Dionysius Mayer and wife parted ways with a 100' wide stretch of land that became the right of way. Was their family name the reason for this station point being called Myers or Meyers? Whatever the case, the station point showed up no later than 1891 and lasted until at least 1903. It had a depot made from a car body that was placed here in 1896 and moved to Newby in 1904. |
