| Description: | Stewartsville was important because it was the location where the New Harmony branch joined the main line. There was quite a hill to the North-West on the main that required trains to drop their train to the North-West of town if they were going to work the six mile New Harmony branch. |

| Track Status: | The track to New Harmony was removed in 1976. The main was removed in 1999. As of 2005, the Browns, Grayville and Poseyville Railway plans to put the rail back in between Browns and Poseyville. |
